Since ClawdBot is self-hosted software running on your own infrastructure, ClawdBotAI (the project maintianers) does NOT collect, store, or process your personal messages, credentials, or file data.
- Your Data Stays Local: Chat history, logs, and configuration files are stored locally on your device.
- Direct Connection: ClawdBot connects directly to the APIs you configure (e.g., Anthropic, OpenAI, Telegram). We do not proxy this traffic.
How We Use Data
We only collect anonymous usage statistics if you explicitly opt-in during installation. This data is used to:
- Improve the stability of the software
- Understand which features are most used
- Identify common installation issues
Security
We take security seriously. ClawdBot is designed with a 'local-first' architecture. Your API keys are stored in your local environment variables or secure storage mechanisms provided by your OS. We recommend reviewing the source code on GitHub to verify our security practices.
